Import & Export
Bluecoins supports importing from CSV (Excel-style) and QIF files, and exporting reports to PDF, Excel, or HTML, account lists to CSV, and the full database to a backup file.
Importing CSV
- Settings → Data → CSV Import. Pick the file.
- Bluecoins parses columns by header (standard or advanced template) and lets you choose import options first —
ignore amount sign, encoding, date format. - Rows map to transactions; invalid rows are reported in the import summary so you can fix and re-import.

Importing QIF
QIF files from other finance apps import through the same data-importer pipeline (Settings → Data → QIF Import). Options mirror CSV imports where applicable.
Exporting
- Reports (Dashboard, Category, Account, Budget, Cash Flow, Net Earnings): the report screen’s menu exports to PDF, Excel, or HTML, or prints via Android printing.
- Account transactions → CSV (export includes label names since v11.8.5).
- Backups: Data → Phone Storage — scheduled automatic local backup worker, delete-old-files cleanup worker.
FAQ
- Can I import from my previous finance app? Most apps export CSV or QIF; both work.
- Can I slice my data? Export the filtered report: apply date filters, category, or account filters first, then export the filtered view.
- Is there a monthly fee for export? No — everything is local.
