Password & Security

Open via Settings → Password.

App lock

• PIN — setting a 4-digit (or more) PIN unlocks the app on launch. Reenter to disable (verify).
• Fingerprint / biometric — phones with fingerprint: enable as an alternative.
• On-device privacy: PIN never leaves the phone.

Encryption

• Encrypted backup — the daily backup file can be password-protected; with backup to Drive/Dropbox, encrypted = only you can read it.
• Data security declaration — Bluecoins, by design, protects your data; you own the file in your cloud. Legacy FAQ: “data security” has its own wordpress page for the old app.

Travel mode

A complement to app-lock: hide all balances in public. Travel Mode guide.

• Q: Why set a PIN? It’s the only thing standing between your phone and your finances. Combined with Travel Mode, it’s very private.
• Q: What if I forget my PIN? Restore-sync (Data → online sync) — or reset app data.
• Q: Premium? Not required — PIN is standard.
